Objectives
The project “Capacity Building for Promotion, Training, Policy Development and Support in Bulgaria” - LIFE21-CAP-BG-Life BG PRACTICES aims to provide targeted support to LIFE applicants in order to improve their participation in the programme. The project was developed by the National Contact Point (NCP) in Bulgaria based on a needs analysis that addressed the reasons for the low effective participation in the LIFE programme, the type of applicants who find it difficult to access funding under the programme in Bulgaria and the types of underused projects. The BG PRACTICES project aims to overcome significant problems related to the provision of support to beneficiaries to secure their own funding, improve the work of the NCP by conducting a gap analysis, increase the capacity of the NCP staff and obtain know-how from the best performing EU countries on how to develop national financial support schemes.
The main objective of the project is to provide accessible information to stakeholders through dedicated workshops, trainings and up-to-date online information, as well as to support potential beneficiaries during the application process to improve the quality of project proposals not only in the nature and biodiversity sectors, but also in the circular economy, quality of life and climate change mitigation and adaptation sub-programmes.
During the implementation of the project activities, the NCP will develop and deliver a large number of information days and workshops and will upgrade the existing website to include more advanced and interactive features such as online consultations, a partner search platform and up-to-date and understandable information.
