The EU Commission Announced Calls for Funding under the LIFE Programme for 2025

The European Commission has officially announced the calls for project proposals under the LIFE Programme for 2025 — the EU’s key funding instrument for environment and climate action.

The new calls aim to support projects that contribute to the objectives of the European Green Deal, with a focus on nature and biodiversity, circular economy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the transition to clean energy. A significant budget has been allocated to fund innovative initiatives from public authorities, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and research institutions in EU Member States and associated countries. The calls include opportunities for both standard action projects and strategic integrated projects.

To assist potential applicants, the European Commission will host a series of virtual information days scheduled from May 13 to 15, 2025. These sessions will present the new calls, explain the application process, and address any questions.
