Circular Economy and Quality of Life

The Circular Economy and Quality of Life sub-programme aims to facilitate the transition to a sustainable, circular, non-toxic, energy-efficient and climate-resilient economy and to protect, restore and improve the quality of the environment through direct interventions or by supporting the integration of these objectives into other policies.

LIFE will thus continue to co-finance projects in the field of the circular economy, aiming at the recovery of resources from waste, water, air, noise, soil and chemicals management, as well as environmental management. The sub-programme provides mainly action grants for projects implementing innovative and best practice solutions in these areas through so-called Standard Action Projects (SAPs). It also covers the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of EU environmental policy and law through co-financing so-called Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs).
