From 10 to 11 April 2024, two LIFE-funded projects will organise an event where soil protection experts and stakeholders will share knowledge and lessons learned on soil protection, pollution and management.
The LIFE Soil Platform meeting, co-organised by LIFE NAdapta and LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050, is a two-day event that aims to promote networking, feedback and policy input among stakeholders involved in LIFE-funded soil protection projects. Three other LIFE projects such as LIFE DESERT-ADAPT, LIFE CO2SAND and LIFE FRAC-IN will take part in the two-day forum.
The meeting will cover three main soil sectors: conservation and adaptation, pollution and bioremediation, and management and mitigation.
Participants will also discuss cross-cutting topics such as monitoring soil health, climate change, promoting soil literacy, economic opportunities and water-soil connectivity. In addition, those present will be invited to share their professional experience as well as the challenges and good practices for the implementation of the EU Soil Strategy and the upcoming Soil Directive.
