Local Action Group (LAG) "Dryanovo – Tryavna – In the Heart of the Balkan" is a non-governmental, public-benefit association established in 2016 under the Bulgarian Non-Profit Legal Entities Act. The organisation covers the entire rural territory of the municipalities of Dryanovo and Tryavna in Gabrovo Region, Bulgaria, encompassing 62 settlements across approximately 504 km² on the northern slopes of the Central Balkan Mountains. The mission of the LAG is to promote sustainable local development through the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD/LEADER) approach by supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, environmental protection, cultural heritage preservation, social inclusion and improved quality of life for local communities. The organisation brings together representatives of the public, private and civil society sectors, fostering participatory governance and integrated territorial development. The LAG has extensive experience in the management and implementation of European Union funded programmes. It has successfully implemented Local Development Strategies under the Rural Development Programme 2014–2020 and currently implements its CLLD Strategy under the Bulgarian CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027, financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The organisation manages competitive calls for project proposals, provides guidance and capacity building for beneficiaries, monitors project implementation and supports cooperation among municipalities, SMEs, farmers, NGOs, educational institutions and community organisations. Through these activities, the LAG has contributed to strengthening the local economy, promoting sustainable tourism, supporting small businesses, preserving cultural and natural heritage and improving public services. LAG Dryanovo – Tryavna has also gained valuable experience in transnational cooperation through LEADER Cooperation (Measure 19.3), participating in initiatives focused on sustainable local development, European identity, knowledge exchange and partnership building with other Local Action Groups across Europe. The organisation has strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, participatory planning, project management, financial administration, communication and dissemination activities. It is committed to supporting innovative solutions that contribute to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, circular economy, sustainable resource management and the green transition of rural areas. With its established network of local stakeholders, experience in EU project implementation and commitment to sustainable territorial development, LAG Dryanovo – Tryavna is a reliable partner for international cooperation projects under the LIFE Programme and other European funding instruments.

Местна инициативна група (МИГ) "Дряново – Трявна – в сърцето на Балкана" е неправителствена организация в обществена полза, създадена през 2016 г. съгласно Закона за юридическите лица с нестопанска цел. Организацията обхваща цялата селска територия на общините Дряново и Трявна в Габровска област, България, обхващайки 62 населени места на приблизително 504 км² по северните склонове на Централна Стара планина. Мисията на МИГ е да насърчава устойчивото местно развитие чрез подхода „Водено от общността местно развитие“ (CLLD/LEADER), като подкрепя предприемачеството, иновациите, опазването на околната среда, опазването на културното наследство, социалното приобщаване и подобреното качество на живот на местните общности. Организацията обединява представители на публичния, частния и гражданския сектор, насърчавайки партиципаторното управление и интегрираното териториално развитие. МИГ има богат опит в управлението и изпълнението на програми, финансирани от Европейския съюз. Организацията успешно е внедрила стратегии за местно развитие по Програмата за развитие на селските райони 2014–2020 г. и понастоящем изпълнява своята стратегия за водено от общността местно развитие (CLLD) по българския стратегически план за ОСП 2023–2027 г., финансиран от Европейския земеделски фонд за развитие на селските райони (ЕЗФРСР). Организацията управлява конкурентни покани за предложения за проекти, предоставя насоки и изграждане на капацитет за бенефициентите, наблюдава изпълнението на проектите и подкрепя сътрудничеството между общини, МСП, фермери, неправителствени организации, образователни институции и обществени организации. Чрез тези дейности МИГ е допринесла за укрепване на местната икономика, насърчаване на устойчив туризъм, подкрепа на малкия бизнес, опазване на културното и природно наследство и подобряване на обществените услуги. МИГ Дряново – Трявна е натрупала и ценен опит в транснационалното сътрудничество чрез сътрудничество по LEADER (мярка 19.3), участвайки в инициативи, насочени към устойчиво местно развитие, европейска идентичност, обмен на знания и изграждане на партньорства с други местни групи за действие в цяла Европа. Организацията има солиден опит в ангажирането на заинтересованите страни, планирането с участието на обществеността, управлението на проекти, финансовото управление, комуникационните и разпространението на информация. Ангажиментът е да подкрепя иновативни решения, които допринасят за устойчивостта на климата, опазването на биоразнообразието, кръговата икономика, устойчивото управление на ресурсите и зеления преход на селските райони. С изградената си мрежа от местни заинтересовани страни, опит в изпълнението на проекти на ЕС и ангажимент за устойчиво териториално развитие, МИГ Дряново – Трявна е надежден партньор за проекти за международно сътрудничество по програма LIFE и други европейски инструменти за финансиране.

Programme: Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps – Eurodesk Network Role: Eurodesk Multiplier Period: 2025 – ongoing Description: Since 2025, LAG Dryanovo – Tryavna – In the Heart of the Balkan has been an official Eurodesk Multiplier, providing young people with free information and guidance on European mobility opportunities, volunteering, education, training, internships and youth participation under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. The organisation delivers information campaigns, local events and outreach activities, promotes European opportunities for young people, and strengthens international cooperation and active citizenship at the local level.
