On April 15, 2025, the European Commission adopted the work programme for the implementation of the LIFE programme for the period 2025–2027. The work programme establishes a total budget of €2.3 billion for projects focusing on:

• Zero pollution
• Nature and biodiversity
• Climate change mitigation and adaptation
• Clean energy
These funds are intended to support innovative initiatives that contribute to the European Green Deal objectives and the EU's environmental and climate goals.
