After a short break, the LIFE training series resumes with a different and inspiring edition dedicated to the real experience of project implementation in Bulgaria.
On 23 April 2026, at 10:00, an online training will be held on the topic of: Challenges and good practices in applying for, approving and implementing LIFE projects.
This time the focus will be on the practice and the participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the implementation of a project in Bulgaria, presented by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds.
The LIFE Rhodope Vulture project, aimed at restoring the black vulture population in the Rhodopes, an emblematic species for the region and a key element of the ecosystem balance, will be presented as part of the training. Through reintroduction activities, habitat improvement and active cooperation at local and cross-border level, the project demonstrates how conservation efforts can lead to sustainable and visible results.
Particular attention will be paid to:
- the real challenges in the preparation of the project proposal;
- the assessment and approval process;
- key moments in the management and implementation of activities;
- lessons learned and good practices applicable to future initiatives.
The training is suitable both for organisations experienced in the programme and for all those considering applying and wanting to gain a first-hand practical perspective.
