Call 2017

On 28 April 2017, the Commission launched а Call for project proposals under LIFE programme for the year 2017, which highlights the commitment of the programme to support projects aimed at protecting the environment and tackling the consequences of the climate change.

The indicative total budget for project action grants for Call 2017 is € 373 145 000, broken down as follows:

  • € 290 895 000 for the sub-programme for Environment;
  • € 82,430,000 for the sub-programme for Climate Action.

 

At least 55% of the budgetary resources allocated to projects supported by way of action grants under the sub-programme for Environment shall be dedicated to projects supporting the conservation of nature and biodiversity.

 

Scope and priority project types of Call 2017:

  • Sub-programme for Environment:

- traditional projects;

- preparatory projects;

- integrated projects;

- technical assistance projects.

 

  • Sub-programme for Climate Action:

- traditional projects;

- integrated projects;

- technical assistance projects.

 

The focus of this year’s Call is on the so called “close to the market” projects – these are projects offering new solutions with clear environmental and/or climate benefits and which have such a level of technical and commercial willingness that allows them to implement their decisions to the market conditions in the near future.

 

Eligible Beneficiaries:

Project proposals may be submitted by legal entities (entities) registered in the EU:

  • Public bodies,
  • Private organizations:
  • commercial;
  • non-commercial (incl. NGOs).
