First Interinstitutional meeting for LIFE Programme policy uptake was held at the Ministry of Environment and Water

First Interinstitutional meeting was held on 23.10.2018 at the Ministry of Environment and Water for the integration of LIFE Programme policies within the operational programs and sectoral plans in Bulgaria. The meeting gave start to a process for improvement of the synergy between the LIFE Programme and other European Structural Funds, as well as the opportunities for supporting integrated projects. The meeting was attended by experts responsible for the programming of specialized policies associated with the relevant programs. The participants discussed how LIFE Programme funding could be better integrated during the programming process of the Operational Programs for the period 2021-2027 and also what are the possibilities for LIFE projects results to contribute to the implementation of specific policy measures. The discussion was coordinated by the National Contact Point in Bulgaria under the LIFE Programme at MoEW.
