Integrated Projects - an Instrument for Implementing Government Policies

19 Feb, 2018 | 13:56

In February, in the frame of LIFE14 CAP / BG / 000013 - CAPTA BG project, an exchange experience was held in Helsinki, Finland. Experts from NCP and RCP-Bulgaria met with their Finnish colleagues and discussed good practices in implementing projects co-financed under the LIFE program. NCP-Finland presented all aspects of the implementation of the LIFE program in Finland - structure and activities of NCP, actions to attract and support potential applicants under the program, monitoring project implementation and results achieved over the years.

It was noted that Finland is implementing two integrated projects (FRESHABIT LIFE IP and CIRCWASTE LIFE IP) and is waiting for approval of a third. The purpose of integrated projects is to implement European environmental legislation and to increase the scope and impact of the LIFE Program at European level. The IPs provide funding for plans, programs and strategies developed at regional, multi-regional or national level. At the training NCP-Finland also shared their experience in the preparation and implementation of IP projects. The useful ideas will be presented at the organization of trainings of potential LIFE beneficiaries in Bulgaria as part of the implementation of LIFE 14 CA / BG / 00013 CAPTA BG activities.
